Nothing’s ever done and dusted. Publishing’s not dead (or dying) and the bookstore isn’t doomed. Here’s McNally Jackson signing up to open a 9,000 square feet bookstore, along with a 1,000-square-foot café-bar, in the South Street Seaport (which it seems is being done up after Hurricane Sandy under the label Seaport District). Their store in Williamsburg seems to have been delayed till later this year because of developer delays. They’ve got to be selling lots of books.
