The Digital Reader seems quizzical that this should be being done; but why really? People do a whole lot of writing on their phones, and why should the novel form be a barrier to that. I am not writing a novel (never wanted to) but I do work away at my translations on my iPhone now that I have managed to get my Pages documents into the iCloud where they work seamlessly (why is it always seamlessly in this context — what would a seam look like here?) on whatever device I chose in the moment. Sure typing is a bit more fiddly, but just look at the adolescent next to you and admire how fast they are typing to compose that text message: practice, practice, practice.
