tears-of-joy-emojiOxford University Press may have unleashed chaos upon us by selecting this tears-of-joy emoji as word of the year. Tim Peters at LA Review of Books  (link via LitHub Daily) reports also on an original new fiction in this “language” published in 2014 by MIT Press. Are frequent users of social media really fluent in emoji?
